Do Ho Suh “Fallen Star” for UCSD’s Stuart Collection

Do Ho Suh’s Fallen Star is the last project of this Korean sculptor, opened recently at UCSD’s Jacobs Hall at the Jacobs School of Engineering. It reflects Suh’s on-going exploration of themes around the idea of home, cultural displacement, the perception of our surroundings, and how one constructs a memory of a space.

The permanent sculpture was the 18th such to be built for UCSD’s Stuart Collection, and is fully complete with a front lawn, brick walkway, garden and lawn chairs.
